We have been a part of Burley Primary for the last 6 years with my eldest in year 5 and youngest in reception. This school has been the absolute perfect choice for my children and if I am honest, the family as a whole. Being a small school there is a real sense of community and the staff know each and every child and their needs, they care deeply about the children and that really shows through. The setting is incredible and the school really utilises its surroundings. We have outdoor learning days often and even just small trips into the village to post letters. If you are considering schools and are looking at Burley as a prospective then I urge you strongly to look past the current ofsted report and see all the amazing things Burley offers. Amazing Staff, caring environment, wonderful surroundings and a fantastic community.
AVOID. For the sake of your kids. Bad teaching, unhappy kids. Poor learning. Head teacher was recently removed thank goodness but its just no good. No sport at all No ICT. Disgusting good. Bossy arrogant teachers.
Appalling. Should be in special measures. An unhappy school from the teachers down. Very poor teaching, no sport, wastes its lovely location and weak pastoral care. I took my children out as have many others.
No ICT...kids drew a keyboard on paper and had to pretend it was a computer. No use of the grounds for learning.
Crazy ygat Ofsted scored it good, but suggests Ofsted canjot be trusted.
