Not a safe or supportive place to send your child. My sons both attended from 7 months old. My eldest now 4. In the past year we have started having a lot of issues with negligence and when I raised concerns with the manager she made our lives very difficult to the point of bullying us. When I complained to the Directors, instead of listening to us, they argued a lot then asked us to leave and terminated my younger son's contract leaving us with no childcare and 3 weeks notice. We have had so many unpleasant things happen here. And a lot of other parents I'm friends with sadly suffered the same issues. We had a great time in the baby unit, and there are some really lovely staff across all rooms but the management team really let everyone down and the staff turnover is high.
The issues we have had, and other parents have had, all of which I had written and photographic evidence of that the manager refused to discuss are:
- Children not taken to the toilet and having regular accidents, and being left sat in dirty wet clothes for hours
- Sunburn
- Regular violence towards my eldest, and no intervention from staff to teach the children better behaviour, to the point my son would cry most nights after nursery and one of his friends had to leave completely
- My baby being left outside in the autumn, standing on wet tarmac in just socks with no jumper in to the point of shivering
- Regular stomach upsets due to inappropriate ingredients in lunches for children of their age
- One child managed to run out into the carpark through a door left open
- one member of staff being overly aggressive towards the children, regularly shouting and calling them naughty
- only one photo observation per child about once every six weeks despite having an online portal they regularly wouldn't fill it out properly
- failing to work with me on my son's SEN and incorrectly filling out a referral form delaying our medical professional help
- my son fell over and cracked his head open on a sharp corner and needed stitches
- unwell children left to sit in the cold and not notifying parents
In the end rather than listening to my concerns the manager fabricated a story about me being unpleasant towards another child (!) Who happens to be a good friend of my son's, she even called social services to "tell on" me saying I was negligent to my son. She called me up screaming down the phone and hung up on me and is regularly unpleasant to parents. The directors believed everything she said and pretended they had evidence of something that didn't happen. They used this as an excuse to terminate our contract. Incredibly strange way to run a business and bordering on harrassment.
Don't be fooled by the nice surroundings and convenient hours, your child will be much happier and safier anywhere but here.
- Not giving us accident forms when children come home with large cuts and bruised
