As a student in year 10 it is a good school till about year 9 the teachers get too strict and make u decide what you want to do in the future and right ur cv in year 8 this is ridiculous we are not allowed to go to the toilet at any point the teachers will yell at you for wanting a basic right leading to detentions if u persist the late rules are ridiculous abe is not the answer and needing an email from parents if u are late is stupid the medic won't let u go home unless u are sick sick the toilet passes make you constantly unwell the place is dirty and i haven't learnt anything in the last 2 years now it is a useless school

my point of view
this school is horrible they don’t care about mental health at all personally i would choose a different school trust me its useless the rules the uniform you name it everything including the toilets don't get me started there was a poo in the sink and theres pads stuck on the wall and its so unhygienic the cleaners ain't doing there job right i swear most of the toilets are clogged the soap dispensers dont even work and the canteen the prices have gone up so so much they aint even doing anything about the sports centre aswell they are meant to do work on it and its not even been touched god save this school

this school is so useless, the teachers make me want to throw them off the hub and scream and cry myself to sleep the new ABE rule for being 4 minutes late to lesson is ridiculous im sick and tired of mr midworth screaming at everyone to get to lesson like please shut up ur getting boring and annoying i really don’t recommend coming to this school the uniform policy is ridiculous everything about this school is ridiculous i hate all the teachers everything AND they say they care about our mental health when they rlly dont they never have they only care about themselves and nobody else and again DONT come to this school bye xo
My point of view
In year 7 I kind of liked this school, but from year 8 my experience declined. The food in the canteen has become progressively more expensive and low quality. In fact, the canteen system in my opinion is very hypocritical, as the school claims to promote healthy eating, but sells food that is very fatty, sugary, and generally rubbish at extreme prices. The teachers are mostly very good, but there are really unfair ones (people who go here will know who I’m talking about). The overall quality of the school declined steeply when the Aspirations academy took over in 2019, because they are focused more on making money than on a good education environment. For a school that has a reported yearly budget of over £1M, they have very odd ways of spending that money, like making an enormous low quality seating arrangement that folds out from a wall, rumoured to have cost over £2000. Meanwhile, half the toilets still don’t lock, flush, or have working hand dryers or soap dispensers. And more recently, they invested in a great big fence around the school that doesn’t resemble a prison fence at all.

Teachers put wayyy too much pressure on students, children have been put in bins, toilets are disgusting with used pads stuck on walls, food isnt always great, it's often cold however the teachers do push children to their limits which is good.
The school has given me depression :)
A bad school teachers have way too high standards of everyone when people have different abilities they are expected to bring in work just as good as smarter people and it makes you feel dumb and humiliated

My year 10 review of budmouth academy
I like my school but some of the teachers are abit strick what is usual but I don't think there is alot of resources for problems like sexual health for young people (I'm 14) and I think that they should add more facilities to certain subjects like a higher budget to make them more interesting and fun
