Shittiest school ever
The teachers are not understanding, and extremely strict. For example, you will get put in isolation simply for wearing white socks. If a question was asked about how socks affects students learning, no answer could be given in response because the colour of my socks DOES NOT affect anyone else, so realistically, why is it even a problem? The school is way too strict, any student attending the school would say the exact same. Another thing: Piercings. Examples would be a nose piercing, or an ear piercing. The school will force you to take it off, no matter what and its the same with eyelashes and nails. Even if it is not removable, they could sanction you with a suspension. We should all be able to style ourselves in a way that we want and we are all teenagers at the end of the day. For females, makeup, nails, and overall fashion and beauty is a part of our lifestyle. For men, hairstyles, and jewellery is a part of lifestyle. What if we are insecure about our faces and hair? The school does not show much importance, concern or care towards us as students. Another issue: Going to the toilet. They won't let us go even if we are desperate. My friend was on her period, and she has a really heavy flow. She even pulled the teacher to the side and she said to wait 5-10 more minutes. Then they start getting frustrated when we defy but like why are you getting frustrated when im the one on my period desperately needing to go to the toilet? Make it make sense. Then they start shouting and writing comments in your planner following with room removals and isolations. She walked out to go the toilet because the teacher was not letting her and she almost got suspended for it if it wasn't for her mum shouting at the school for DEPRIVING HER OF GOING TO THE TOILET. And sorry, but why do i have to wear my PE KIT if I'm never gonna do it? Honestly, i would not tell anyone to come to this horrible school. The teachers are so rude telling you to shut up and stuff, they neglect your mental health, they don't give a damn if your bullied because they don't do anything, the police had to come in many times because students behaviour was threatening and unsafe, the list is endless guys. Don't go to this school, Mr S.. smile haunts me to this day!

The school is absolutely horrible , teachers don’t actually teach when someone with learning disabilities try ask for help they get ignored it’s depressing really I would never sent my child here!

As a student RHAT goes to the Bruntcliffe academy I am really really scared to go into school I am being touched by teachers chased by teachers restrained by teachers and thwy think that 50 year old restarting a thirteen year old boy is ok RHIS school needs help

Disgusting school they drag you like you arnt even a human being they pin you up against wall,s they bruise you terrible for autism etc hate it you get in iso and det for stupid things.
Bad school
Worst school. If you ask every student they will have something negative to say about that place, however my main issue is how strict they are when it comes to what you can and can’t do. For example, if you want to wear any more than one earlobe piercing, too bad, you can’t. You can’t paint your nails. For pe if you can wear leggings but with shorts over them. I got my hair highlighted and they gave me a straight isolation. For what? Having a bit of blonde in my hair?

BAD SCHOOL BRUNTCLIFFE
I have had 4 children attend this school over a period of 15 years and it has not changed at all
My eldest son who had learning difficulties spent all his school life in exclusion and playing monopoly
My Daughter lasted about a month before being perminantly excluded ... she had adhd
My next son failed at most of his exams he tried hard but got no help
My next son was kicked out of the school after having a fight with another student and passed on to another school within the academy ... it was a serious assault and was accepted by all and my son was full of remorse
Sending a child to a BETTER school FURTHER away with the SAME headteacher is not right at all
The school has too many silly rules silly punishments and policies for kids and parents to handle and do not provide adequate support for kids with difficulties and swapping headteachers and staff around when visitors go is a sly trick to make the school look good
The school does nothing to ensure safety of kids on school busses everyday day kids fight throw things and damage the busses
The school fails to disclose when they mess up ... my son went to school as normal and failed to come home on time hours went by no word on my son we searched phoned round and involved the police ... my son did turn up ... the staff took him on a school trip that we were told he was not allowed to go on because of his behaviour and did not have our consent

This school is a prison camp, My advise is find another school.
Do not put your happy children into this so called school. It is run like a business, yet if it was mine I would sack most. Totally disgusted! I cannot write anymore as this site will only let you write so much..tells u something

I go here and i got bullied all the time and i told staff and teachers amd they did nothing abt it. But when I decided to fight back i got in trouble for it. This and many other incidents has happend here
my experiences at bruntcliffe academy.
When i attended the school, it was questionable. It was not the worst school ever but it was not the best. Me as a student who did suffer with mental health i never got any support from the inclusion office or from any teachers in general. Even when i asked to arrange an appointment with the inclusion team they would ignore me and not help me. For the school to improve further i believe that bruntcliffe academy should put more effort into the students and their mental health because ignoring the people who need help is not going to make anything any better. I now suffer from PTSD from this school Mr.W.... smile still haunts me to this day.

I guess brunni is alright the teachers are to strict one time my friend was on her period and she talked to the teacher outside to explain she needed the toilet the female teacher told her to hold it for 5 minutes??? You can't hold a period another example is when my new puppy was in her chew everything stage she chewed my school shoes but I only found out when I was setting off so I wore some old ones they had abit of white on but I wore them for afew weeks the year before so I thought it would be alright. It wasn't I almost got put in isolation for them.FOR SHOES I don't understand how what shoes I wear affect mine or anyone else's learning they phoned my mum explaining what happened and my mum shouted at them that's the only reason they didn't put me in isolation overall they are to strict and not understand at all

Lovely school.
Actually quite a good school I made life long friends and a couple of teachers genuinely have been really supportive and will definitely miss them when I leave. Extra curricular is my favourite thing it's amazing I love it. However only 4 stars coz I just wish school would use more gender inclusive language it's really annoying when me and my lgbtqia+ friends feel excluded coz a teacher called us "girls and boys" instead of just "people" I think it's a very simple thing to do and just yk a core value is inclusivity, yet some teachers say stuff like that. Ye anyway good school I like it.

I love this school honestly. The teachers have been great help and the lesson plans are awesome. I am a year 10 student and will admit that I will be sad to leave. For example, one of the teachers here has helped with a lot more than just the learning, they have taught me a lot about life and is great to talk to when feeling down or stressed. One thing I dislike about the school is the use of language they use when addressing us as students. If they could use more gender inclusive terms such as "people" instead of "boys and/or girls" I am positive that more non binary students will feel included as one of the core values after all, is inclusivity.
Dangerous
The Students are constantly being jumped outside the school some even being stabbed, there's constant harrasment of LGBTQ+ students and there's a clear hierarchy of students with the bottom of the hierarchy being abused by the popular end of the hierarchy. Teachers abuse students with some students needing support and counciling for the abuse, over the experience is torturous and painful
