I went to this school 5-8 years ago and it was a decent school yes there were problems with the education systems but i’m sure all schools do. However my little sister is in her final year there and she has been heavily bullied throughout her time there. The school have said, i quote, “we can’t do anything to stop students from talking” which is disgraceful as she is now terrified to go to school each morning and cries and begs to stay home. Nobody has tried to help her in this situation, they have just completely neglected her feelings and quite literally are not bothered. Terrible!
During my time in the school things such as bullying and sa were underlooked as I was sa’d by a former student and after talking to multiple teachers I had to sit near him during form and he only received 1 lunch time detention and half of one i was heavily bullied and nothing was done to help but there are some good teachers there the food was all right and the things they were teaching was good (only come here as a last resort)
Overall I had a good time at BHA, there were some ups and downs due to staff not taking the bullying issue seriously, but I got on with most of them just fine. The extracurricular is brilliant, the surrounding area is lovely and the catering is decent. The SEN team is ok, but could be improved.
I started off good and eventually left feeling optimistic about the future, would recommend this school!
