I will say this loud and proud as a student at this school, the hygiene first of all is awful, there are bugs flying around in classrooms and sometimes the canteen hall. I have been at this school almost 2 years and About 50-60% of my years there I have faced bullying frequently. They care more about your skirt size than how bad your mental health is getting. The only good thing about the school is sort of the pastoral team, they are the only nice staff there and the rest are just horrible. You get yelled at over minor things and green slipped for coughing sometimes. Mufti days are for your own clothes right? No, the school limit your choices on clothes and care more if your showing too much chest or stomach. Not to mention this school is on the list of schools that are bad and have had people being s3xually assaulted. Do not go here if you don't want to face years of hell
Worst school ever. The toilet cards take the mick and these strike cards and detentions are so bad. The school is so strict my child comes home complaining and refuses to go in. The school is apparently so unsanitary and the toilets are the worst. Don’t even get me started on the punishments, isolation and the year 10 year lead. I don’t not recommend this school to your children
It's an alright school but has some bad things about it
Weird unnecessary rules. Learning about absolute rubbish that'll never help me in life and the teachers and other students don't care about the children's mental health or safety. They'll just watch a fight happen but won't do anything just because they're "good students" overall most of my criticism is because of our government not the school but it's still so annoying
if you want to not have to suffer at this place you are gonna want to fit in as soon as possible
but there are positives
Good SENCO
Nice members of staff
Pastoral team (though they are not the most up to date with things)
plently of benches
and phones are not to be used during break and lunch allowing people to talk to eachother (for the better or worse)
Save yourself years of dread by avoiding this school. Has been nothing but a hell hole the past few years. They even treat sixth form students like year 7s with detentions, report cards. Etc.
terrible school, does not care about mental health, teachers and students are horrible. i was once told to jump of a cliff by another studeng and the staff did nothing about it
Very good and supportive pastoral team, most teachers will always listen to problems and support students in getting the grades needed. Rules could be more relaxed, for instance the coat colours and wearing them in hallways also hair styles and colours. Overall a good non-selective school would recommend
Great school. Great support system. SEN system is amazing. Rules could be slightly relaxed. They think more about the colour of your coat than enforcing social distancing. However, apart from that, it is a very good school. Highly recommended.
Personally, I think this school is quite good. The teachers are really helpful and there is a great support system. They are sometimes a bit strict on rules and such however I would recommend this school.
This school cheats BTEC first of all. Underperforms in GCSEs, has got it's priorities all wrong (cares more about the colour of your coat than a global pandemic) and talking about a pandemic they've gone out if their way to ban mask, not enforce social distancing and made no changes to hand washing. There is a bullying problem and the school building is miserable. They offer no real extra curricular activity outside of copying someone's ICT work in catch up and some sports.
