Absolutely appalling. Letting a Year 7 child wet themselves, ending them up in hospital because it had burned off their skin is disgusting. This school should be ashamed
Been to this school and sixth form from 2017-2024, safe to say I completely regret my decisions.
Throughout highschool I dealt with bullying which was never sorted until my sisters got involved personally to stop it, without them I would have still been bullied as the highschool did nothing to prevent it.
Constantly dealt with belittling teachers who couldn't care about the mental wellbeing of their students, and one specific teacher who loved to discriminate and pick on students. They preach being supportive and there for you yet do nothing to show it, arguably they make it a lot worse.
Sixth form was a complete joke too, I struggled relentlessly with my work due to poor teaching, writing something down on the board and telling us to copy isn't going to make it sink in my head and will make revision harder if I don't have a basic understanding. Some teachers were great, especially in the science department. Still preached about helping my mental health too throughout sixth form however I always felt they never tried and this lead to me barely attending sixth form due to how much anxiety I was facing being in that sixth form.
I would never recommend going this sixth form or highschool to any young person especially those who struggle with mental health. It only makes it worse.
I am a student at this school and I was getting bullied in year 8. The school wouldn’t do anything about it and would just say “we’re trying to build a report” they said that for a year. This bullying was daily. I was being called slurs, me and my family were being threatened because of my sexuality. The school claims to be accepting and has a poster outside saying “be proud”. It wasn’t just that one person as well. A lot of my year group was picking on me daily and the school did nothing about it. This bullying has really effected my mental health and I have requested in-school counselling multiple times a few months ago and I haven’t heard anything back.
Blythe bridge high school is so bad don’t go to that school. They don’t care about your mental health or situations all they care about is you attending and being in lessons. I’ve been struggling with my metal health as I had a panick attack and I couldn’t breather but they sent me lesson after. Teachers think they can yell in your faces as if it’s a normal conversation but if you yell at them back they take it to heart and they think it’s against the law
Never let your. Child go to that school
I was jumped at the school twice and they still continue to let the person that did it to come back to the school, and every time, they lie about expelling them. It keeps happening and the school don’t care about mental or physical health.
This school does not provide students, with bullying experience, any support at all and the "punishments" for minor issues are too major but "punishments" for major issues are too minor and it isn't fair. The teachers dodge their own rules and staff are given too much room to be biased and hate on specific students without making it obvious. If any student doesn't come into their year with a big, open, loud personality, then they will suffer from the pain of this schools system of bullying and the way they deal with it.
