school is doo doo like a prison literal bars on windows and stupid rules that affect mental health e.g hair cuts and colours makeup jewellery nails uniform and a terrible care for mental decline just want you to get them outstanding in ofsted
This school takes away everything that is unique about a child. Including hair colour and now with the new principal, even bags! At school. Children have a right to express themselves. BWA makes it so that children feel unsafe and only wanted for the good reviews
I had started a few months into the school year in year 7 and not one teacher had helped me settle in. I was put into the wrong sets and was expected to get good grades. A lot of teachers knew i wasnt confident in class. I spent 5 years on my own and everyone at this school including my head of year never thought to help me or speak with me. Since leaving this school, it has made me depressed and not being able to trust anyone. It made me not go sixth form as i could not go through anything like this again. The only good side about this school was one particular form tutor who i was able to speak to and would listen (Miss Collins) and leaving early on a Thursday.
My siblings who are going to this school now have been discriminated a lot by head of years/teachers. Giving detentions for small things like having no ruler. Thinking they can speak to them how they want. Racism. They would come home and talk to me about it and i am not surprised at all.
Lastly, all this school goes on about is being outstanding in their Ofsted report, not the safety or welfare of children.
it wasn’t the worst, it never felt ‘safe’ and the way year leaders deal with issues needs a lot of improvement. not many teachers care about the well being of their students.
Care way too much about things that literally dont matter like haircuts and gum and not enough about issues like mental health and students not feeling well
