This school has extremely bad teachers with students suspected of carrying illegal knives. Some students carry matches with them, lighters, vape in the toilets and teachers do absolutely nothing about it. If the teachers do something about it they will give them a light punishment and will do it again. Some teachers actually help you in lessons at this school but most of them will just ignore you ESPECIALLY cover teachers that cover lessons for teachers that are not here. Teachers In this school are probably not trained well and do not have an understanding. Most new teachers leave this school after a little bit of time. Students are very disrespectful to all teachers. There is bullying of students, fights and school does nothing about it. Now food. Food quality is very poor. Food quantity is alright though sometimes food does finish. On Friday we have Donner kebab/Battered fish and chips. Donner Kebab is really nice but the chips are raw. They are hard on the inside and soft on the outside. On the rest of the days Monday-Thursday Food is poor as usual. Food is also extremely expensive. £2 for a small beef burger and £1.85 for chicken burger. 85p For a 330ml drink and and 1.75 for a 500ml drink that does not seem like 500ml. Most likely false information since you take one sip of the drink and a quarter is already done. Over all I rate this school extremely poor and if you want the best for your child, you are better of sending them to Aldridge/Queen Mary or Joseph Leckie which are way better. For reviews you may see that it is good but students are actually forced to say it is well and if you do not comply, you get a detention.
I have had a very bad experience sending my child to this I am appaulled with the communication between school and parent I believe the school needs to be assessed on methods of communication help and interaction I have been trying to get in touch all day all I got was answering machine I feel let down and very distressed 25.05.23 17.00 pm
okay so there’s a lot of good things and bad things about the school.
some good things is that i love how it’s so diverse. you will find people from all over the world it’s so cool like i love hearing about other people’s cultures and how different they are to me.
some of the teachers are so sweet i would use their names but i’m not allowed. but for my head of year in year 9 he was honestly the sweetest teacher ever he was always there for me. whenever i had a problem with anything he’d always try his best which really would make my day as tbh not all teachers are like that. i also wanna mention my ICT teacher i had from i think like half way through year 8 till year 9. she’s like one of them teachers you can gossip to as she loves to hear it all haha like we’d treat each other as friends she’s the best.
the school is very easy to get around as it’s not that huge even though we do have a few buildings
oh yes they also accept anyone like no matter your race , sexuality they will love to have u here however i don’t think our school is like wheelchair friendly i’m not sure but as i look around the school i wouldn’t rely on it for wheelchairs.
now the food is good and bad like back in year 7 they’d do these pasta pots and i would look forward to lunch everyday for that ugh i miss it so much and so does everyone else. like the food is okay but because of covid i haven’t been able to eat everything as i only had access to the sports hall and they could only bring a few items over.
okay something bad which i hate is the teachers for lessons can be so bad sometimes in particular my physics teacher. he really would get on my nerves as he’d never teach like he’d disappear for ages then we’d get some other cover teacher and he couldn’t teach the class probably coz he didn’t know how to control us as we were out of control but that’s not even him like bio teacher couldn’t so she’s like done with us and then my chemistry teacher she will full on stop teaching if pp speak like it’s crazy how much time goes by and we don’t learn anything. like ik it’s the students fault for not knowing how to respect but then again it’s how the teachers speak to us too some of them i personally think are racist. like my chemistry teacher really has an angry tone whilst speaking to like asians or the black people but when it comes to the white people she’s like fine with them and i always help her hand books out and i always say hello and hold doors for her but it’s honestly her. so yeah don’y try and rely on teachers to teach u sometimes as i’ve been revising my butt off everyday so i don’t fail for my gcses this upcoming year.
