teachers care more about how the school is perceived from the public rather than the actual pupils. Teachers do not motivate the pupils, the ones that find school a bit more challenging they target them to fail their exam or brush their concern off by suggesting collage. Also I know lots of people who had to move school because of bullying and the school done little to nothing about it. Again, do NOT CARE ABOUT PUPILS. Teachers also terrible they should all not be teachers. Not a positive environment. Teachers are rude to pupils and act as if they are better than them
the teachers care more about what you wear than you're education. Pupils get screamed at if they are not wearing a v-neck jumper etc, ridiculous. pupils are there to learn. They physically get taken out of their class time to get shouted at about what they are wearing, I know some people who have actually gotten sent home, pathetic!!!!!! this is school, who cares about what they are wearing. The goths get to wear boots and fish net tights but other people can't? what happened to equality?? Every week at assembly they talk about uniform instead of important things. they are all talk about mental health but do nothing about it, they care more about raising money for lgbtg+ people than people in need and how they look to outsiders there is also lots of cases with bullying that the school take no interest in what so ever.
This schools terrible, as someone who attended for 4 years not once do they think about there students mental health all they care about is there reputation the bullying is terrible, I’ve been a victim of bullying and the schools do nothing about it, I’ve seen people get bullied and it’s upset to see the teachers ignoring it so sad, I stayed off for a whole month due to mental health and the first day back I got screamed by the head Teacher in front of everyone because I was wearing leggings he didn’t even notice the fact that I stayed off for a month he only cared about what I was wearing because the leggings where too revealing, Bishopbriggs academy sort your crap out
i was traumatised by my experience in bishopbriggs academy
it got a bit better since mr moulsdale has left but when he was in charge it was absolutely terrible anybody that didn’t fit into a very specific social category was punished different beliefs different looks any and every bit of individuality was stripped away from students…people forced to eat their lunch on the floors as there wasn’t enough seats for all pupils but they banned sitting in corridors etc so it is just constant conflict between students for places to sit so they would make u stand up in the social area and eat your lunch standing up watching to make sure nobody sat down…all the focus is on sports and maths every other subject is put on the back burner…there is an extreme lack of school activities no dances no events no nothing u go to school u do ur exams and then u leave there is no sense of building a safe space or encouraging friendships i think there may be a few clubs but if u don’t like sports u have virtually nothing to attend
The schools alright, it just needs more support for people who may be going through a rough time. Say suicidal thoughts, bullying and such it goes unnoticed for quite a few people there unless your very close to a teacher or talkative which most aren't.
