Uniform policy’s are ridiculous, bishop Heber complains about us having cold and having poor attendance whilst not allowing us to wear coats in the cold months. And you only seem to get help if you have behaviour problems, I mostly feel bad for some teachers but they cannot deal with loud roudy classes, even during my gcse years being in y11 would feel like I was in a zoo enclosure. Bishop Heber is trying too hard to be a private and exclusive school in my opinion.
I have serious concerns about the way the school is managing its responsibilities, particularly towards students with additional needs. It's crucial for any educational institution to provide an inclusive environment where every student, regardless of their challenges, receives the support they need to thrive. My observations suggest that the school is failing in this regard, especially in how they handle students with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. Labeling students in a derogatory manner and placing them in situations they cannot cope with is not only unkind but also counterproductive to their development. When these students have outbursts, blaming and suspending them rather than addressing the root causes of their behavior is a misguided approach. It’s commendable that i plan to take my concerns to higher authorities, such as your MP, to seek accountability and change. The head teacher and school sponsors should indeed re-evaluate the treatment of all students to ensure a supportive and equitable learning environment.
I started at this school in 2020 and since I started I have been treated with total disrespect from teachers. The head teachers is a joke taking coats of students leaving them to freeze whilst the teachers are wearing big high Vis coats
I don't recommend this school
poor support for students, through my years at bishop heber i've been bullied on multiple occasions. many reports have been made and no actions have been taken, the school does near to nothing to deal with events like this. teachers care about the schools reputation more than the students who are under to pressure to meet standards. i have made the best of friends in this school and the education is top. although the schools management of bullies is unbelievable, racism is educated about whereas when i receive hate related to religion nothing is done!!!
Don’t deal with bullying, problems within the school etc.canteen food is bad.people with sen don’t get much help. some teachers are disrespectful the schools only bothered if you turn up to the lessons.really bad school!!
only care about you if you cause trouble. terrible canteen food - barely edible. does have a good range of GCSEs and extracurriculars. so long as you're willing to put up with being ignored if you don't play rugby, a reasonably tolerable school. did not deserve an ofsted outstanding.
I carnt believe wot I'm reading about a school in this day an age taking coats of its pupils when it's cold and freezing and that the parents allow that kind of behaviour by the school I always thought that school uniform was not compulsory so why allow it as 1 parent put its like going back to victorian Britain were now in 2022 get with the times
I moved to Bishop Heber partway through my secondary school career and have found it to be extremely good and definitely one of the best in the area. Teachers treat you like an adult, and the provision for both GCSE and A-Levels has been excellent.
I have been at this school for 5-6 years and I have dyslexia and I have not received the help and support I need in my day to day life as I gradually got higher up in school.the school is very under staffed and some members of staff were just awful.
I could go in and on about the teachers but the facilities at this school are shocking. Hardly any lunch or brake outdoor activities.
So much billing which is never delt with its just left.
And the punishment sistem is just a load of rubbish.
So I don't recommend this school to any one.
I have been at that school for five years and all I have gotten is nothing from it I have not really reserved the help I needed and it is full of bullies and the school dose nothing about it and don't get me started on the teachers...
