There is a lack of discipline in the school: both low-level and high-level bullying is commonplace. One kid is free to roam the corridors during lessons despite being under personal supervision following many previous, serious transgressions.
The pupils are cliquey and regularly gang up to make nasty comments to other individuals.
All this occurs under the façade of zero bullying tolerance.
The head teacher, himself subject to abuse from pupils, does not have the ability to proficiently rectify these issues, and instead responds like a rabbit in headlights. Also the head teacher is a mere functionary with no charisma, and who blatantly practices favouritism rather than impartiality. Sport is valued over academic achievement. A couple of reading and maths challenges were initiated but not followed through to the completion.
I have seen how a great head teacher operates at our previous primary and this teacher ain’t that. This head is uninspiring and is really the head administrator, turning the handle following a curriculum, rather than inspiring staff and pupils to maximise their potential.
