Very disappointed

Not a good school at all if you child is slow learning they just seem to forget about them and concentrate on the more able ones .
We expressed concern several times and told they would put things in place to change the situation but it just carried on the same.

Honest opinion as a student

The uniform policy is horrible. I've been given detentions for the wrong coloured socks and not having a blazer before. The teachers don't respect the students mental health as I was once told to "handle things by myself and talk to someone another day". The quality of the toilets is disgusting with only 2 stalls in the year 10 and 11 toilets and taps that don't work, and most of the time students aren't allowed to go to the toilet in lesson as they "should have gone at break" when basic human knowledge is that people can't control when they need to use the toilet especially girls who could be on there periods which is something they don't have control over. There are cameras in the toilets now to try and make students feel safe when personally it makes me feel the opposite. The teachers take any kind of personal opinion as talking back and often don't let you speak what's on your mind even if it's completely reasonable. As someone with a low attendance who has health problems (which the school know about) the way I've been treated about my days off have been appalling even though the school has proof I have been genuinely sick and hospitalised more than once over this I have still been questioned about me ever being sick and had meetings over the subject. I regret going to Axe Valley Academy and my parents regret letting me go there but now starting GCSEs I feel its to late to transfer.

Axe Valley

Not a good school. Some teachers are great with kids and at teaching but it is very few. Teachers miss use the punishment program sometimes by using it to harshly other times by not using it harshly enough. Some teachers are not educated well enough in the subject they teach. Teachers are unfair, cruel and do not care about students mental or physical health. Some teachers are overly sexual with students as well and it makes them feel uncomfortable as they should be in a safe environment.

Average but bullying needs to be sorted.

Average school but heard about lots of bullying going on that was never solved because the teachers/staff don’t care, I suggest if you care about your child’s mentality, don’t send them here.

How Good is Axe valley really?

The school is fab but there are things that can change. Teachers should be fair as many of them hear people with disabilities swearing but they don't get sent to RTL.RTL is when you get put into isolation for the day.Not all teachers follow the rules of the game some give like 10 warnings to every student as they want others to think students behave in there lesson. So they want teachers to think they are not a pushover but all teachers do this. Some send a few but not many. Then kids have dropped more than 3 subjects and those who actually need to drop them can't. Some teachers get really stressed because there is too many kids who have dropped the same subject.
