Never have I ever seen a worse school. The staff are rude, the meals made my son have extreme diarrhoea for 3 weeks, and the hygiene is terrible. Like who even cleans that kitchen? If i could vote 0 stars I would. The only reason you would want your kids to go here is if you want them to be extremely dumb and have no social skills
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell rock
Biggest pisstake ever, went to that school from year 7 to year 8 and left because of how bad it was. They don’t support you with your mental health needs and put you in stressful situations that people with mental health problems can’t handle. And you have to behave well for a whole week to see your friends? Stupid your constantly isolated from everyone else and the only
People you can see are the kids that are in your class (half of them are fucking brain dead bellends) don’t recommend this school too anyone at all unless you want you child to come out with no social skills and shit gcses
While some of the teachers are nice and try their best to help within the school guidelines there are many cons/bad experiences I've had. I'll list them to make sure you don't give your child those sane experiences.
• being forced to sit directly in the sun while already very ill ( I was on my period and get very unwell)
• teachers telling another student " don't say it in FRONT of him " after I was called a freak
• making home an unsafe environment by outing me
• threatened stop calling me my preferred name
• rushed " recovery " from traumatic events
• making " mental health goals " for me and shoving me towards them without consulting me or telling me what they were
• I saw them purposely overwhelming an autistic child claiming they were helping
• there is obvious favoritism
Please don't send your child here, it can help some but for most it is a degrading and awful experience. I have 2.5 years left and I'm terrified I'll go into the adult world with no real world knowledge and that I'll have poor social skills because of the schools way of teaching
When it comes to students mental health, I’ve never seen a place handle it quite as poorly as the team here do. There is blatant favouritism in the way they deal with these topics among our kids, depending on which they like more or who they determine can ‘handle things better’. I cannot count the amount of times my girl has come home upset or angry because of staff or another student bothering her that was left unresolved. I cannot count the amount of times she’s tried reaching out to school for help and guidance just to get nothing in return. It has been years, they keep promising they’ll set things up for her but nothing ever happens.
School constantly oversteps its boundaries with what it can enforce, telling us how to parent or how to deal with our daughter when we didn’t particularly ask for it or want it. Unwarranted ‘advice’.
The communication with parents is awful, we always feel like we’re in the dark. They barely tell us anything, always the bare minimum.
I have never in my life seen a school do ‘physical restraints’ with students before. I wasn’t aware this was even legal before I looked into it. Reasonable force law, apparently. I’m still not sure how I feel about it.
My daughter says she feels socially stunted after attending this place, feels like she’s lost out on so many of all the big and little experiences that other kids her age have. She feels like she’s an outcast among her peers now. It makes my heart ache for her.
The teachers and TAs do attempt to provide a nurturing environment, and from what I can see they do genuinely care for their students and their progression. A lot of this isn’t the fault of them but rather how this school functions as a whole, but regardless I would absolutely not recommend this school to any parents searching for a good place to send their special needs children. The cons outweigh the pros.
This school is so good and helps you with whatever you needs are. The teachers are amazing. I am in my last year and not looking forward to be leaving whenever we talk about it in class I always have a tear run down my face it is so upsetting to be going in a couple of months as this school has done so much for me I will keep coming back and visiting.thank you so much Athena
