Came for an interview and they said they welcome staff from all faiths. When asked if I can perform my Islamic prayer in my classroom during my own times in private they said no this is against school policy. Apparently me practicing my faith puts their faith at risk as a student converted to Islam off site. This was absolutely unacceptable for me, nobody has the right to deny someone the right to pray. If you are intimidated by a person practicing their faith you really need to look at your own faith and your own self. Additionally if seeing someone pray draws you to that religion and brings you peace then that religion is the truth. Also the entire school had a strange smell. Some history for my dear Sikh brothers and sisters Guru Nanak the founder of Sikhism was a Muslim saint and when he died his followers made many portraits of him and held on to his teachings as best they could but instilled some of their own ideologies into the religion.
The school is teaching primary and secondary phases. The students are nice, but the school have underqualified teachers in high positions. They use primary school teachers to teach at secondary level and some of them are head of year or head of department. The school is bad managed and organised, they don't have clear goals and they are really afraid of Ofsted, so they just want to do things to tic in all boxes but totally useless.
If you are a teacher, find another place, is a no go school.
