Don't do it

Don't waste your time sending your kids to this hell hole. I have 2 there who have both been bullied but my son gets suspended because he fought back. My daughter has been harassed by a boy and nothing got done so I will be taking it into my own hands. Absolute joke of a school.

Being a foreigner can be really stressful in that school

I'm so relieved that my youngest child has finally finished at Anglo European School. The latest incident was particularly upsetting. The head of the sixth form tried to publicly humiliate my child, seemingly motivated by a petty grudge over France's Olympic success. It's a ridiculous reason, but unfortunately, some members of staff have shown several times their resentment to non-British students. It might happen to foreign staff as well.
My three children have all attended AES, and each has had a negative experience. My eldest, who has special needs, was bullied and neglected despite receiving government fund to look after that kid. My second child was also bullied and discriminated against for being too intelligent for a foreigner. The English literature teacher even publicly shamed that child and encouraged the class to bully her.
We removed the 2 kids before year 9.
Fortunately, my children have thrived since leaving AES. I'm particularly proud of my eldest and second, who have both achieved great things.
I've spoken to many other parents who have removed their children from AES due to bullying and the school's failure to address it. While there are some wonderful individuals working at AES, the school's leadership is more concerned with social media appearances than the well-being of students. There are rumours of student deaths and suicides that are no longer being reported.
I'm grateful that my children are now safe and happy, but I hope that other families won't have to endure the same experiences we did.

BAD SCHOOL

This is the worst school I have ever been to, do not send your kids to this school unless they want to start self harming themself.I have been depressed and dreading to go to school because the teachers here take advantage of you.In lessons, all we do is textbook which is very useless and the teacher is always talking about their social life and go on their phones during lessons.WORST SCHOOL DO NOT COME HERE

Unique

My three children have been through this school, my third child is in Upper Sixth. They have all had the most fabulous opportunities. This school is really unique and internationally-minded which is why we chose this as a family. The different cultures that my children have been exposed to is refreshing. I am glad we chose this school it was the best decision.

Don’t come Anglo

As a kid, I used to love school, but now I’ve came to Anglo all it is is teachers screaming at you and blaming you for everything. I don’t like talking about it but I self harm because of the school teachers treat us like shit and they hand out attention so freely it’s like they come to school and take all their anger out on us. I’ve never seen a where is School and this it deserves to be shut down. Hopefully someone reads this x

Teachers just sit on their arse

Probably the most shittiest score I’ve ever seen. My kids hate school used to love it. Teachers treat them like shit and the teachers are stuck up little cunts. He’s still on the fucking arse doing shit all and handing out tensions to everyone get off your fucking arse and actually do a good job and maybe people actually want to come here

Do you not come Anglo

Anglo is the most shittiest school I’ve ever seen my kids aside, severely self harming and hate going school. They used to love school now. They cry every day because of how the teachers treat them. She’s tried to kill herself and I hate talking about it but it has to be said this, School has took it too far with punishing children making her miss her train and have to take the next train at 7 o’clock at night by herself and when we tell them they don’t care when trains are cancelled they blame it on the kids they would rather us being detention, then deal with it

Worst school ever

This is probably the most shittiest School I’ve ever seen in my fucking life. My daughter has came home crying every single day because of How the teachers speak to her this school deserves be fucking shut down she’s started self harming and now going therapy since she joined the school as a parent. This is really upsetting and teachers are just making it worse by blaming everything on people that aren’t clever or need help in certain subjects the only people they like are the ones that are clever and they think putting your kids on report help them. It doesn’t and when they forget to hand their reporting, they get punished and treated differently than everyone else and get picked on by the teachers I have two kids one turning year seven and I will not be sending them to Anglo

Awful

I’m a student at Anglo and It has made me the most miserable I have ever been. I cry almost every day and the homework is overwhelming especially when you have 4 pieces set to be due on the same day. Absolutely appalling

Amazing school

This school is diverse and celebrates every culture. They encourage all students to work their hardest and all the teachers put in effort to make sure every child understands the topic they are studying. There are many marvellous opportunities, some being the change to go on an 8 week exchange and visit countries like China. Students are able to get the support they need from teachers and their voice is heard. Even though the school has not been the best in the past, they have sought to fix those issues and are heading on a path to success. Overall, this school produces bright and well educated young adults.

Anglo isn't what it seems

Horrible school, I'm not one of these students who is writing reviews because I'm trying to be funny. But the school is genuinely bad. The people who are in charge don't care about the students, bullying is handled horrendously. The teachers who are amazing and inspire students aren't given enough credit and aren't given a voice in what is done. I decided to not attend their sixth form due to my due to my admission being handled poorly. Please do not send your chikd to this school. It isn't worth it, even with all the things they promise. It is not worth it

Don’t go here it’s bad

This school is horrible, all the teachers have clear favouritism ,bad students get praised for being bad whilst good students get pulled up for nothing, pastoral is a waste of time, they don’t help bullying either they’ll just say they are trying to work it out or that you should feel better but they will never solve the actual problem. They preach multiculturalism but they don’t even have holidays or lessons about other cultures such as eid and Muslims, etc. I can name several teachers that blame the victim and r just horrible in general. When someone’s homophobic they will make a whole assembly about it but if somebody’s racist they don’t care.

A Levels

Parent

My daughter is currently doing her A Levels at this school and she is the happiest she has ever been at school.
She is also getting very good grades so far, thanks to her teacher's support, guidance and discipline. I am very pleased with this school.

Amazing school

I love this school and everything about it. The mix of cultures is amazing and so interesting. The staff have been so helpful to me throughout the years as I’ve been here for 6 years. The amount of opportunities I’ve been lucky enough to have is amazing and I really recommend this school.

IB Diploma

Anglo experience

As a former student, I can say that my experience was overwhelmingly a positive one. The range of qualifications on offer from the IB to A Levels means that students can study qualifications that suit them best. The opportunities offered are huge, and really make a difference when it comes to applying to university. On top of that there are so many students from different cultures and backgrounds that you can't help but become more informed about the world and the people who live in it.

IB Career Programme

Fantastic school offering many opportunities

I am a parent of two children, both have attended this school. My son is currently studying the IB Career-Programme and is fortunate to also be able to take part in the Anglo European School International Enterprise Academy affiliated with the Peter Jones Academy. The opportunities that this school affords are second to none both of my children have participated in the Visits and Exchanges Programme, including visits to France, Germany, Belgium and next year my son is hoping to take part in the visit to the United Nations in Geneva. I would highly recommend any parent to look further into the IB programmes but if this is not for them the Anglo also offer an extensive range of A levels. As a school for my children I could not have asked for one better.

Previous student

I was previously a student there, honestly the school has gone down hill. They pretend to care about mental health when really their "MENtaL HeaLTh" ambassador is the one making the kids wanna tear their hair out.
Also they handled the covid lockdown horribly, for a long time there were no online classes and pretty much let students try and work stuff out for themselves.
The teachers who are actually good and care about the students should be the ones in charge, but nopppeeee.
Overall the fact that it's a multicultural school is nice on paper but it doesnt translate well into the environment.

anglo.

like every secondary school really, it has many issues that could be easily solved if the teachers and pastoral managers took the time to listen to the students instead of punishing them unnecessarily. whilst saying this, there have been many students that have gotten away with awful behaviour whilst other students get pulled up for practically nothing, this being a huge display of favouritism and is, unfortunately, usually racially based.
