Stay away

Do not send your child here. I honestly have so many regrets. My sons dad said it was a bad school but I insisted to send my son as it’s was close-by and he is a very well behaved high performer. The teachers hate children …. That is the only thing I can say. Most of them shouldn’t be allowed near a school and I have a genuine concern they have a vendetta against kids. The school is beyond bad. Having gone to a bad school myself as a teenagers it makes my school looks like a dream. The leadership is shocking. The way random rules are made up and enforced on mass like a military camp is insane. The teachers are manipulating a lies. Trying to get a straight answer out of the leadership is like pulling blood from the stone. DO NOT SEND YOU CHILD HERE!! Run.

Long but important

Students' behavior is tolerable, but the SLT members and other teachers are shockingly rude, creating an unsettling atmosphere for the kids. If your child encounters harassment or bullying and musters the courage to report it, they'll likely be met with neglect or unjust blame. The school's "Inadequate" Ofsted rating is profoundly disappointing, and the attempt to sugarcoat it as a "Needs Improvement" rating is a clear deception, leaving me thoroughly dissatisfied as a parent. My daughter's friends, who are slimmer than her, wear skirts of the same length, yet she's the only one consistently reprimanded for her perfectly appropriate skirt. The school even went as far as to ban pencil skirts and, before enforcing the ban, subjected girls to the uncomfortable experience of pulling down their skirts at the gate, causing distress and embarrassment. This discriminatory treatment adds to the discomfort my daughter and others feel in this school environment along with my daughter was unsettlingly told by a teacher, "I don't want anyone to make any comments on you, and also make sure you don't flash anyone." This inappropriate remark adds to the discomfort she already experiences, raising concerns about the school environment and its approach towards students.I am concerned about the ease with which homework detentions and behaviour points are issued. Teachers often fail to inquire about the reasons behind students not completing homework, whether it be due to difficulty understanding the task or uncertainty about what to write. Many shy students may feel too uneasy to seek help, and penalizing them for issues that may not be their fault is distressing. Furthermore, after-school detentions are worrisome, particularly as it gets dark around 4. Many children rely on buses for their commute, and a 30-minute detention would mean they get home around 4:40, with few students around after the first bus stops. This situation makes children feel uncomfortable and unsafe while waiting alone at the bus stop after school. Additionally, even students who live near the school and can walk home might also feel unsafe, especially in the darkening evening hours.

Awful

They still have a teacher that hit a child with a book. If your a male that hit or bullied by females it’s ignored and treated as a joke. Drugs sold on campus but kept quiet. And a teacher with an ego so big that takes priority over students grades. Under funded for a school and over funded based on its performance. They won’t talk to you till till the child’s almost dead or being excluded, you’d think the church aspect would help but it’s over shadowed by the untamed chaos there are a few good teachers which is why they’re in either low management or no where near it they type of people that are in management in that school have a tendency to ignore children until absolutely necessary when 10 parents have been contacted and want to call police or until it affects the there god complex and expect 0 mental support for depressed children it’s a lot of twiddle your thumbs and I’ll say that you can fiddle with toys in class but never tell any teachers so it gets confiscated
