Investigation needed into this school and its characters.

As a former student I'd say that some of the staff at this school are unfit for work and need psychological evaluation. focusing specifically on the authoritative teachers and college managers who are seeking power to deal with their own psychological issues. They belittle children and abuse their 'power' (said power which is unfortunately for them limited inside one building in Halifax during working hours and outside of this building they are nothing). it's a bit concerning how much pleasure certain middle aged members of this schools community gain from shouting at prepubescent children, making 11 year olds afraid to speak, trying to gain autonomy over the bodies and uniforms of little girls. very very strange behaviour. a certain science teacher believed he was Stephen hawking because he had worked with holographics at uni? all members of staff reading this review will know exactly who I am referring to, and id like to point out they were employing a child abuser. what else do you refer to someone as who instills fear in children unjustly for his own psychological gain. moving onto college managers, its a pity that they choose their job to gain a sense of authority when they are the dregs. im talking about the blonde porky woman btw. why do you bother getting your nails done hun when they don't distract from your weight. thanks for reading! p.s. don't send your kids to this school unless you're trying to damage them, don't be an enabler.

I love you Jack.

Absolutely and utterly horrific. This eternal damnation of a school is savagely destroying my mental well-being. The students are insane and they linger and start dog-fights in the toilets after break. Whilst walking to the canteen, I am crushed and crammed in herds of feral Year 7s. This is ridiculous! The food for employees are tremendously uncooked and lice infested. They do not pay me enough so I cannot afford my own food. I live in my parents basement and sometimes in my classroom because I cannot afford my own place. This is negatively chucklesome and absurd. The pollution there has caused my asthma to skyrocket and there are dead birds and rats everywhere. I have no friends. The building is also about to collapse due to flooding in the roof. Due to these concerns, the school will be doing nothing to fix it.

I am a parent of 2 and none of my children go here. I will never force them to and I would never want them to as this school is an abomination to human kind. I lost custody of my children after the first day they went here and I still sometimes see them but very rarely. The court thinks I am a danger to them but it is not me, it is the school. Even though I sent many anonymous death threats to the head of this school, they still do not deal with the suicide and racism. Cornelius and Dorothy, if you see this I am truly sorry. I will see you at the next court meeting for my drug and alcohol problem this school has caused.

The year 11s look as if they are 50. I am terribly worried because I fear these “year 11s” are old men in disguise. Even the female population of Year 11 look like 59 year old men. I suggest to the school that they keep the suicidal students to a minimum. This has made me suicidal too but I am getting help. NOT from the school counsellor but from an actual therapist.

Also, inflation sucks. I am not getting paid and I cannot afford drinking water that does not contain cholera. My partner of 6 years, recently divorced has been in the hospital for 2 years for excessive amounts of cholera in the school water bottles they provide in the canteen. As well as Ebola spreading throughout the manky halls of Trinity Academy. The only good student Jack has Ebola and is hiding it from his sometimes long distance girlfriend, my other daughter, not previously mentioned, and I hope she doesn’t get it too!

After having long and horrendous conversations with other teachers, i realise how irrelevant they are to me and my life. I am the main character of my life and no one will bring me down. I have made a commitment to myself that I shall bring this school to justice.
That what I thought 5 years ago and I have changed my mind. This school cannot be saved. I am soon to quit and I wish no one well, except Jack, good luck with the Ebola my son in law.

Goodbye.

Absolute hellhole

Hate this school, Some college managers are alright but some are complete numbskulls. You get in trouble for the smallest things and teachers lack empathy for students that can’t afford to buy equipment. If you get in trouble you will usually get screamed in your face which doesn’t help a situation at all.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO TRINITY HALIFAX ACADEMY! this is why

trinity academy halifax is a bad school. empathy? they do not have. respect? they do not have that either. i did act up alot when i had stuff going one and they would care and would be so disrespectful, they would excluded me all they time and not help with it at all when i had stuff going on and then more stress on top of everything else that was happening. they toliets are disgusting. teachers wouldnt even let girls go to the toliet when its the time of the month because they dont have a toliet pass. they would give isolated or detentions for stupid reason. i was only close to four college mangers at that school. they took the time to get to me to open up and when i was acting up they would let me tell them in my own time. but rest of the college manger are not nice and i hate them all. the school dont treat the student right at all, people in that school will never get treated right. i got kicked out because of fighting but i didnt even start anything and she was on her last chance and i still got kicked out because of her. i shouldnt of got kicked out, she should og got kicked out. the school says it is an outstanding school but its really not. they should care more about making sure the students get a good education but they care more about how they look then education. males staff memeber would look at people skirts, look up them or even look them in officers it has happened to me alot of times. that why i hated the school its jsut don a good school to send your kids to. college mangers throw student in offers and wont let them out, they put their hands on students.

worst school in west yorkshire

this school is absolutely horrible!!!! my daughter was vomiting all morning yet school didn't call me because they didn't want her to lose attendance so my daughter texted and told me what happened. when i got to school to pick her up they told me she lied about vomiting so that she could go home. 2 hours later at 12:40 they called again saying your daughter has vomited again you need to pick her up. the teachers told my daughter they had to lie so she could get her afternoon mark. they didn't even give her proper medical attention and said she must come into school the next day or else they'll come to our house. they shouted at her for being sick when she has no control over that. they verbally abuse the kids and have no care about them as ling as the school looks good. you aren't even allowed to show your ankles or speak on some corridors!!!! Also many teachers are racist which is just horrible!

Dissapointed and utterly disgusted!

Now back to school changes for students such as sharing toilets for boys and girls which is highly disgusting no privacy for girls or boys. They might of spent load of money on it but but that was an entire waste as I know that boys want privacy and so do girls. They are pretty stupid if they think that girls and boys what to share a bathroom.

Empathy?

Given that empathy is one of the core school values, I’ve yet to see it demonstrated through their actions and behaviours towards pupils or parents.

Horrible.

⚠️ MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ I hate this school with a passion. Hate is a strong word, but I hate it. Don’t get me wrong, some of the teachers are lovely & caring, but some teachers are terrible, unsympathetic & very dislikable. I have had my good days & my bad days here, which most end up being bad days. I have my problems in & out of school & have received help (I suppose I still do) but half of my issues are to do with Trinity. I got SA at the start of yr8 (in yr9 now) which did me no good at all because I have to be around the boy. I eventually had enough of dwelling on it & decided to speak to someone with my best friend (who also got SA by the same boy) and we ended up having to speak to Mr ********. He told us both that he needed proof of the SA & we had to remember the exact date & time or nothing would be done about it. Skip to the end of that situation, absolutely nothing was done about it, not one punishment in place for the boy that did it to us (not even a negative behaviour point) which we both found appalling. Again, I have my issues, and this one is also disgusting. When a student discloses information to you about SH (self harm) they should do their best to help you out, not only was I SH, I was also getting bullied at the time with threats to jump me. Of course this put me in distress and worry and I ended up SH again, they did barely anything about the bullying and SH problem, I never even get pulled out of class just to be checked upon. Trinity only started dealing with it when my mom made a big deal about it and started arguing with Miss ******. Thankfully, both my college manager and my deputy college manager are both kind and caring and help me out when I need it. Onto general things, the food is massively overpriced and sometimes is unhygienic, the dinner staff are moody and take away your food if you have gone 1pence over your balance. Uniform policy is disgraceful, not a single piece of jewellery, no nail polish (not white, black or green to match the uniform) and only one plain stud in the lobe of your ear. None of the diamond heart earrings, no sparkly nose stud, no adorable bridge piercing. None of it! Not allowed any coloured hair, has to be natural, not even split dyed. No “heavy makeup” which they class some foundation, concealer and blush as “heavy makeup”. If you break the uniform policy you are most likely to end up in isolation which can be until 4:20 (2 hours after school ends). The corridors are massively overcrowded, which can be intimidating and overwhelming for younger and smaller students. Toilets at lunch are always full of older students gossiping and giving dirty looks which again, can be intimidating for littler students. Fights are a common occurrence, and are usually recorded. Teachers are always bunking off so most of the time you will have a supply teacher which don’t even know what they’re doing while students are throwing things across the classroom and being absolutely chaotic. Not to mention the streets being super crowded with cars and busses at the start & end of school which can result in students being late, which gives them the unnecessary punishment of 1-2 hour detention or an isolation. Late more than twice in 1 term then those are the punishments, starting from a 1 hour detention working it’s way up to an isolation. Year 10-11 students have to do an extra lesson, which is not optional, it is good for extra revision for GCSE, but it should be optional as students may have to collect younger siblings from school at the new time they finish. Meaner college managers think it is ok to manhandle students of any age and scream in their faces over a minor inconvenience. In shorter words, do not send your children here, or send your current children to a different school.

Unsafe place to be

I find this school unsafe and an embarrassment to Calderdale. There’s fights every day without a doubt and the teachers/college managers are to busy watching it like a movie with the other students instead of trying to intervene. If you want anything sorting here you may need to get the police involved as they don’t do anything.

awful school, do not recommend

there are so many issues with this school that outweigh the positives. for example, there is little to nothing done about bullying and college managers prioritise enforcing the uniform and dress code. school meals are sometimes undercooked. there is a lack of support provided for mental health. there is a new rule where kids are only allowed to use the bathroom at the start of break and lunch for whatever reason. teachers and college managers will treat you awfully and speak to you like you're an animal for literally no reason whatsoever. their main concern is looking good to people outside the school rather than education.

don’t go.

male staff check girls skirts to see if they have rolled them up which is disgusting and if they have a roll in the skirt then you get an hour detention but when boys have untucked shirts they get nothing. teachers are rude and shout at you for doing nothing. college managers drag you out of lesson if you refuse iso and drag you down the stairs. don’t go there.

Awful school

The College Managers are bullies who man handle students and shout in their face even when they are not being a threat to themselves or others. Being bullied is normal at Trinity Academy and very little is done to resolve issues. The building is overcrowded and fighting is a common sight at this school. Hair is in school dinners and students are seen regularly being sick, but don't expect to be sent home when ill as the school nurse will say you are a liar.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Trinity Academy segregates the children from middle class to working class (they never mix) with odd vulnerable working class in middle class etc. The working class part is run like a detention centre and they disrupt children’s education by putting them in detention and inclusion for trivial reasons, the middle class lot probably don’t even know where the inclusion room is, the sandwiches in inclusion that are served are going off on the day your in if your lucky they went off the day before 😍 but better than nowt as they didn’t used to give anything at all in iso you’d just sit n stave for 6-8 hours in a small cramped smelly inclusion booth, being monitored by a knuckle scraping college manager. I would not even recommend this place to someone I hated, I wouldn’t bother.

Awful

Trinity is a disgrace, the pupils are awful, college managers are awful there is only a few exceptions for maths and English. The science department is an embarrassment to society. There's a massive shortage on utensils and their food is awful, had their wrap one time and it gave be explosive bum gravy for days. Their pasta is watery and falls apart and the graduation criteria is degrading! The teachers lock the toilet doors during lesson time so you still can't go even though you have a toilet pass and the only toilets that are open are in priestly coridoor and there are only 5 toilets for over 100 students. The water fountains are nearly always unplugged so they get you to pay for overpriced water and then they nag at you for not eating healthy but they downgraded the size for the fruit pots and it's still overpriced for 3 grapes and 2 blueberries

AWFUL

This school is an actual joke. They give it the large on open evening but don’t be fooled - they let students roam around the building distressed and upset without acknowledging them, the students aren’t just bullies the staff are too (some of the teachers are great it’s mainly the college managers that are quite rude) plus fights are a very common sight here even people attacking one another randomly for the fun of it and you will probably see it regularly and often especially on your snapchat story feed later on the day it happens. The dinners usually have hairballs in or even stranger things you wouldn’t usually find lingering around your plate of cold* food. You get iso for practically breathing and they never take your side on things. Also if you get bullied here you will be treated as the person in the wrong and probably punished for complaining about the bullying/problem in the first place. You don’t learn much here either you learn the same stuff every year such as “onion cells” and “ecosystems” and the teachers are usually dossing off so you usually get a supply more than once a week and they don’t even know what they’re doing. Plus grown men check the girls skirts every morning as they walk in and it makes girls feel very insecure and uncomfortable.

Awful place of education.

My experience this school was absolutely shambolic, from awful college managers, asserting their dominance on children, to awfully strict rules that did no good to any students. You could be 10 seconds late, and have to spend 1 hour behind at the end of the day, where there was no room for reflection as no rehabilitative facilities were given. Although grades might be good, the management is awful as you can get screamed at for the tiniest of things, lessons were too strict, and you were never allowed to go to the toilet during lessons. I hated this place and would never recommend it to anyone.

DONT GO TO TRINITY!!

This school is horrible and so over crowded! They wonder why people are always getting COVID from being there. The hallways are packed and you can barely move. The teachers are so strict, they scream at you for no reason, skirt is above your knees
= 1 hour DT , ANY sort of jewellery = DT, there is a lot more things I could name that could give you a 1 hour or 2 hour DT or even an isolation or exclusion for no reason A͟T͟ A͟L͟L. Teachers can wear excessive makeup, long Nails and super long eyelashes. When we can’t even paint our nails. We also have hair in our SUPER EXPENSIVE meals, they don’t let us eat if we don’t have enough money.

handling serious situations poorly

Poorly done

the school has recently has an incident with a group of Asian lads who got rushed by about 20 whites and out of self defence they fought back due to the fact that they had weapons and at the moment they must have felt vulnerable reason being of their safety and now the school had kicked out those Asian lads because they tried defending themselves and all the school cares about is the reputation and it’s name and not the well being of their students and it really comes to show how people and teachers even can be so 2-faced in my opinion this isn’t the right way to deal with this type of situation.

I go to this school and personally I think some of the teachers are ok whereas others scream in students faces for minor things.

Another thing is that, if a student is sent to iso you get patted down if you don't give your phone to the teacher, I personally think it's weird.

Education good behaviour bad

The school looks is good the architecture and everything is okay on the outside it look well presented and nice and so does it on the inside. The behaviour thought throughout the students there’s a big amount who don’t care and always get shouted at. Some college managers do there jobs like Mr ********. But some just let people get away with it which makes them become more confident in bad stuff which they aren’t supposed to do. Most teachers are good but sometimes they are very strict on the c1s,c2s,c3s as once my student got a c1 for dropping a pen and the teacher said c1 for talking. Overall I think the education is good but everything else such as the behaviour of the students is poor

Not a good school

i attended trinity for the whole of the five years. i had so many issues with the school and 8 times out of 10 it was with the staff. I had been told to wipe my “fake tan off” which wasn’t fake tan and the teacher had me scrub my skin to prove that it wasn’t fake. The college managers were absolutely awful except from the odd 2. Staff also have no control over the students at all. The school nurse doesn’t believe a word you say and only ever sent me home once when i had quite clearly dislocated my shoulder yet before hand was questioning if she should. my parents also had a lot of issues with the school. a lot of teachers have several piercings and the women wear short skirts and in my opinion they should lead by example. Staff also scream and spit in your face for “answering back” then question why you don’t answer them. favouritism is 100% a thing in this school. Bullying is a regular thing and teachers consistently target students. I had quite literally been told “i wasn’t smart enough” for the higher science paper and nothing was done about this. i had also been told “i don’t have time for your shit today” by a college manager. Even if you have no other option do not send your child here. fights happen near enough every day

Do not send your children here !!

i go to this school now. Everytime I go I text my mum to pick me up. I cannot describe how much of a dump it is. You get treat like a prisoner and have no equal rights. You need to have a toilet pass to be able to use the bathroom, even if you are on the verge of an accident! I told my science teacher that I needed to go to the bathroom for lady reasons, I was told to sit down and the teacher lectured the class about toilets and how you can’t go unless you have a toilet pass, even if it is the time of the month or you have the runs (in which you should have to go home anyway)! Not to mention the horrible college manager— always think they have the right to put students down by screaming right in their face. They also think they can grab a student. It is very overcrowded and there are hairs in the overpriced food. Very strict uniform policy, not allowed any form of jewellery or allowed to even paint your nails! I have an older sister who is near prom, she claims prom is addressed on attendance, if you do not have 96% attendance then you are not invited to go to prom, which is a celebration?! Overall, I rate this school a 0/10, however I cannot rate a 0. I will not be sending my children here and I don’t recommend sending your children here, parents. I hope this school gets closed down! As I was saying, do not send your happy, innocent children to this depression prison.
